During mold remediation procedures, there is a potential for mold spores and other associated contaminants to be spread throughout the building even when the proper containment of the work area is maintained by the remediation contractor. Because mold spores cannot be seen by the naked eye, it is ADVISED that post remediation verification (PRV) including microbial sampling be performed. Without PRV, elavated mold levels remaining inside and adjacent to the impacted area may not be detected. In addition, once the containment for the remediation project has been removed, microbial spores may spread to other parts of the building by the ventilation system. Please be advised that it is never guaranteed that “all” molds, fungi or other allergens will be fully “removed” from the indoor environment…there will always be some levels of these “contaminants”.
